When I was out on the farm taking the most lovely pics of my young farmer, the first in a new series I am doing for Location for my 'Land' project. I came across these beautiful logs - what amazing texture - makes me think about life - and all the textures we come across during our lives - the smooth bits, the bumpy bits, the hard spiky bits and the bits that leave their lines carved into our lives.
I really am in a very happy place at the moment (THANK YOU - Brian Williams - my lalaman - my homeopath - this is just after a week!)- I am so glad to be moving out of my comfort zone that I have worked in for the past four years - I am excited (although petrified, as well) to have new energy flowing through me! New people, new adventures, new things to get my brain around - a new brand to conquer and new achievements to be reached! Again I will miss the old familiarity but I will take with me good memories and keep in close contact with all my friends!
I am not so happy that Skyla is so worried at the prospect of me not being home for four nights next month - I need to work on that confidence and start distancing those apron strings - she has become such a happy, content young teenage girl in the past few months - it is lovely to watch her grow.
Below a photo from Friday, my young farmer - just love this image - I hope the film has come out really well too! I also hope that my other farming subjects are just as co-operative with the lens.
